1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the logistics and delivery services provided by Samoye ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
These Terms apply to all users of our platform, including shippers, recipients, and any other parties who interact with our services.
Important:
By giving us your shipment, you are consenting and authorizing a search of your shipment either by us, TSA, US Customs, Airlines, or other relevant authorities if the need arises.
2. Definitions

| POD | Proof of Delivery – documentation confirming successful delivery. |
3. Services Provided
Samoye provides international and domestic logistics services including:
- Package Shipping: Door-to-door delivery services
- Tracking & Monitoring: Real-time shipment tracking
- Customs Clearance: Assistance with customs documentation
- Insurance: Optional insurance coverage for shipments
- Bulk Shipping: Volume discounts for large shipments
Service Availability:

4. User Accounts & Registration
4.1 Account Creation
To use our services, you must create an account providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
4.2 Verification
We require identity verification for all users. This may include submission of:
- Government-issued identification
- Proof of address
- Business registration documents (for corporate accounts)
4.3 Account Security
You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Prohibited Items & Conduct
Prohibited Items:
The following items ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR TRANSPORTATION:
- Money (coins, endorsed checks, bonds, etc.)
- Explosive materials (ammunition, fireworks)
- Hazardous materials
- Unauthorized explosives and destructive devices
- Wet batteries
- Compressed gas
- Radioactive materials
We exclude all liability for such items accepted by mistake. We reserve the right to reject such items for shipment for security and airline safety.
5.1 Prohibited Conduct
- Providing false or misleading information
- Shipping prohibited or restricted items
- Attempting to bypass security protocols
- Harassing or abusing our staff
- Using our services for illegal activities
6. Shipping & Delivery
6.1 Delivery Timeline
We strive to deliver your shipment within 7 days from the time it departs the United States, provided there are no problems with weather, customs, or airlines.
6.2 Packaging Requirements
All shipments must be properly packaged to withstand normal handling during transit. We are not responsible for damages resulting from improper packaging.
6.3 Address Accuracy
You are responsible for providing accurate delivery addresses. Additional charges may apply for address corrections or re-delivery attempts.
6.4 Delivery Acceptance
If the recipient receives/accepts a shipment without noting any damages during delivery, it is assumed that the shipment was delivered and received in good condition.
7. Fees & Payments
7.1 Service Fees
Service fees are calculated based on:
- Weight: Fees are determined by the weight of the shipment in pounds (lbs)
- Service Type: Standard, Express, Same Day, or Overnight
- Currency: Fees are charged in the selected transaction currency
- Volume: Additional fees may apply for large-volume shipments
7.2 Additional Fees
- AES Filing Fee: $45 for goods valued above $2,500 (Automated Export System filing)
- DGR Fee: $50 for shipments containing more than two Lithium batteries (Dangerous Goods Declaration)
- Customs Clearing Fees: Nigerian Customs clearing fees are estimates. Additional fees may apply based on government policies.
7.3 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Bank Transfers
- Digital Wallets (PayPal, etc.)
- Account-to-Account transfers
7.4 Currency
All transactions are processed in the currency selected at the time of booking. We support multiple currencies including USD, GBP, EUR, NGN, CAD, AUD, and SGD.
8. Liability & Disclaimer
Limitation of Liability:
We are not responsible or liable for incorrect information or acts of omission including:
- Incorrect declaration of shipment contents
- Improper packing by the shipper
- Loss, damage, mis-delivery, or delayed delivery resulting from inaccurate information
8.1 Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- War or terrorism
- Government actions or regulations
- Airline or carrier disruptions
- Weather conditions
8.2 Maximum Liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the shipment, subject to insurance coverage if purchased.
9. Insurance & Claims
9.1 Insurance Coverage
Uninsured Shipments: The maximum compensation for uninsured shipments is $200. Shippers are advised to purchase insurance.
Insurance Recommendation:
We strongly recommend purchasing insurance for valuable items. We are not liable for any uninsured items.
9.2 Filing a Claim
Claims must be filed within 30 days of the incident. In the case of air mishap (air crash), loss or damage of shipment occurs, all claims will be processed through the airline.
9.3 Claim Requirements
- Tracking number
- Proof of value (invoice or receipt)
- Photos of damage (if applicable)
- Detailed description of the incident
10. Termination
10.1 Termination by User
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team. Any outstanding balances must be settled prior to termination.
10.2 Termination by Company
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Fail to make payments
- Provide false information
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when changes were made. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
